This was amazing! Seeing these babies so active, eating and sleeping. We realized that after a few days that the forth egg wasn't going to hatch. It was a new lesson that had to be taught to the kids when questions were asked. All I could do was give the truth, but make it a good lesson, not just all sad. "At least there are three children out of the four. It could of been worse" That was Tori speaking with a surety.
When neither adult is around, Tori and I ran inside to try to grab a photo. While on my shoulders, Tori got great photos. What I noticed right away is that there are no left over egg shells, either in the nest or on the ground under the nest. It's amazing that the birds would clean this up.
